Rapidplay Rally and Chess Book “Swap Shop” – Thursday 21 March 2024

The vagaries of the chess schedule have left 21 March free from league matches. So we’ll be organising one of our popular Rapid tournaments. This is intended to be the first event in our new Rapidplay Rally. But that’s not all:

1. There will be a small number of prizes on offer for the tournament.
2. Depending on the feelings of the group, we may submit the tournament games for rating (where played between ECF members).
3. We’ll be hosting a chess-book “swap shop”. Bring your no-longer wanted chess books, and browse the table for those brought along by others. No money will change hands and we’ll take anything unwanted to a charity shop.
4. We may also have a puzzle corner. If you’ve recently come across a good puzzle, we’d love for you to bring along a diagram of it along to test the group with. Make sure you also bring the solution!
