At the 2024 AGM we formalised our arrangements for compensating those who provide transport to away games. The expected rate of compensation varies by destination. We acknowledge, of course, that the number of passengers and the exact distance driven will vary, as will the price of fuel and the fuel-efficiency of the transport. The figures below are based on distances from our home venue, and fuel price of £1.50/liter and a fuel-efficiency of 12 miles per litre. No doubt these rates will have to be reviewed should venues or fuel prices change significantly.
Drivers and their passengers may agree between themselves to pay different amounts or to make their own arrangements (if sharing driving responsibilities across the season, perhaps), but in the absence of such an agreement, the all non-drivers should compensate their driver the amounts below.
